WHO ARE WE
We believe that to change the trajectory of conservation in Africa, a holistic approach is needed. It starts with impactful leaders with innovative, new solutions and a powerful platform for action. We develop current leaders, we educate leaders of the future and we bridge dialogues across and between sectors.
WHAT WE DO
MBA & Executive Education: The MBA for Conservation Leaders combines world-class business education with cutting-edge training in leadership and the conservation management. It prepares mid-career wildlife leaders for the next stage of their careers.
BA in Global Challenges (Conservation focus): We offer an individually tailored undergraduate program, a BA in Global Challenges with a specialization in conservation, to empower students to drive innovative solutions to Africa’s conservation challenges.
Dialogues across sectors: We bring together a wide array of stakeholders to promote best practices, strengthen networks, and collectively tackle the challenges of conservation. ALFC invests in Africa’s top talent, allowing access to education through forward-thinking financing called Income Share Agreements (ISAs). ALFC provides investors with healthy returns while making world-class tertiary education affordable to students from even the most disadvantaged backgrounds.
WHAT WE DO
ALFC understands that the cost of funding higher education can be a barrier for many students and families. Traditional sources of financing are often completely unavailable or prohibitively expensive. This is why ALFC and ALU are partnering with private investors to provide students with an innovative alternative – Income Share Agreements.
An ISA is not a grant or a scholarship; it will require students to pay a percentage of their future income for 10 years after graduation. ISAs are also different from traditional loans; they offer flexible terms not found in most student loans. ISAs are a whole new means of educational financing – available in Africa only through ALFC – with the potential to open doors for millions of other students across the continent.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Become an early stage investor
By investing in ALFC you are building a self-sustaining platform through which future generations of students across Africa will be able to receive an education.
